libdbd-mysql-perl software package provides Perl5 database interface to the MySQL database, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdbd-mysql-perl
libdbd-mysql-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdbd-mysql-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdbd-mysql-perl *
You will get with libdbd-mysql-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
